    11:30 *Thanks for helping prove my Uncle's ''Old Italian Method'' to be correct* True Story. I rarely get sick & when I do it doesn't last long. I've attributed that largely to a Method my Uncle Vince taught me in the early to mid 90's. One time when I had a fever,he taught me to do what has been an Italian Tradition in his family for many generations. While utterly miserable,it is extremely effective. After a while I figured out why that seems to be,which is highlighted in this video. Essentially you go to sleep wearing as many layers as possible,as you can sanely manage. For me it's sweat top & bottoms with a thick blanket. Yes,you will be "Sweating your @ss off!",which is entirely the point. However this is not something you do on a whim. As you can imagine,similar to working out,you'll be sweating large amounts of water. So you'll need to drink plenty of water before & after bedtime to compensate. In this way you're literally *'Sweating them out'.* Them being whatever infections may be ailing you. Yet that's only partially correct. I always understood that the self Induced internal temperature increase was killing off the infection or creating environments not suitable for it's survival. Yet this video seems to confirm this,so thanks for that. *Yet let's ponder on the implications of this if true!* What if the cure for sicknesses wasn't a vaccine,pills or some other medication? What if the only *'Prescription' you needed was a few trips to the Sauna combined with a good cardiovascular workout?* I'm 40 now & I haven't had a bout with sickness that lasted more than a day or 2 since the mid 90's when I started *'Burning them out'!* Afterall,isn't that what they do with Cancer cells? Is the massively collateral damaging Method of Chemotherapy really the only way?

    I feel like even if we get fusion made to the point where we have a net positive it'll take ages for it to be cheep enough to be acutaly useful i mean thats one of the few problems with nuclear power is its incredibly expensive the other problem is the public distrust of the technology

    Great stuff - nice to see how complicated seemingly simple things are while politic/media complex would have us believe everything is so clear and discussing things means we need to stop "malinformation" (yeah my autocorrect also didn't know that word :D )

  • @bobibobbobino
    @bobibobbobino 9 часов назад

    I never quite understood the important details behind quantum entanglement until now. Extremely useful and interesting video!! So if I got it correctly, it basically means that the particles are inherently ''entangled'' from the source. Which would make the ''information'' transfer being immediate no matter the distance, right? Wouldn't we be able to communicate faster than light using two different quantum computers from which the particles have already been entangled? I assume both computers would need all their particles to remain in the same states as their counterpart, effectively working as only 1 computer?

  • @jgbreezer
    @jgbreezer 9 часов назад

    If you also build a deflector a ways out ahead of the direction of travel, say on a long boom, you don't need to deflect the particles as strongly for the particles to miss the vessel (as long as you don't deflect any particles that would otherwise miss, onto the vessel). That also protects the vessel from any magnetic/electric fields used, though obviously means more assembly/risks of damage and disconnection through the boom.

    I'm surprised you people didn't already know this. The normal for the poles are actually lush islands with valleys, rivers fields and all. Geologists git curious and have had it mapped using satellite and GPR. This gives us a general shape of the land under the ice. The general shape that suspiciously matches ancient maps of the continent. Oops I'll just move on now. I've said to much.

    The problem with stipulating that two entangled particles are "on the opposite sides of the universe as one another" and then concluding that the spin on one can tell you the spin on the other "faster than the speed of light" is that there is no way to get those particles that far apart that quickly or instantaneously. The "information" travels exactly as fast as the particles do, and no faster. At the end of the day, the conservation laws of the universe hold. If I were (somehow) able to observe a particle having traveled unobstructed with a certain spin over a distance of one light-year toward me, and were to (somehow) know with certainly that there was an entangled and equally unobstructed particle, now two light-years away from me, moving in the opposite direction, I would indeed know its spin by basic deduction and by conservation of angular momentum. The "information" traveled both ways from the center, at exactly the speed of light. My awareness of that information has no bearing on that.

  • @jgharston
    @jgharston 14 часов назад

    They should have asked a mechanical engineer. This is exactly the behavior of a spring. As you extend a spring the force gets larger and larger, until a limiting point where you cannot increase the distance any more - the spring is as its maximum extent. But then the material the spring is formed from itself deforms and the distance again increases. The spring is no longer extending, the material itself is extending.

    0:23 Minor nitpick here, but the reason we don't feel the Sun's gravity is _not_ because the Sun is far away. Rather, it's because we're in orbit around it. When you're in orbit around something, you're literally in free-fall toward it, but moving sideways fast enough that you always miss hitting it. Since we're in orbit around the Sun, and thus in free-fall toward it, we don't feel its gravity, just like you'd feel weightless in a falling elevator. If the Sun were actually far enough away that we didn't feel its gravity, the Earth couldn't be in orbit around it. The same deal happens with the Moon's orbit around Earth.

    10:30 Calculate your carbon footprint, then offset it by giving money? That's the same old shtick used for millennia: "Offset your sins, buy an indulgence!" Doc, you may be a great guy and obviously very smart, but brains alone don't keep people from falling prey to cults and their ways. Climate change has become a cult, where the rich gain wealth, politicians gain power, and scientists gain grants. It's a win-win for everyone except those who lose wealth by paying more taxes and lose power through increased regulations, and lose sleep over the endless fear mongering.

    Stabilised nuclear fusion is a pipe dream and will never happen. Do you know what the pressure it takes for the sun to squeeze hydrogen isotopes together to make helium aka fusion. I’ll tell you in tons per square meter. It’s one billion, seven hundred forty-eight million, two hundred twenty-two thousand seven hundred thirty-eight and six tenths (1,748,222,738.6) tons pers square meter and no magnets can achieve this because it takes mass and gravity to do this. Our magnets will never be powerful enough to squeeze the plasma in order to achieve stability which the best we can do currently stands at around 17 minuets 33 seconds that’s all. Another problem is as soon as the plasma touches the wall it cools down a fusion stops so we can’t even make energy from it. It’s not happening.
